Understanding child behaviour disorders

All children in some point of time manifests different anxiety disorder as in this modern world children are subjected to various tiresome and mental stress. The mind of children is tender and vulnerable which could not cope up with stress and anxiety prevailing around due to excessive pressure of studies and parents. In this way children develop unnecessary anxiety disorders which affect their mind in the form of breakdown and stubbornness. Some of the child anxiety disorders which have been come into the light affecting their mind are as follows:

Generalized anxiety disorder

Generalized anxiety disorder is a commonly found among the children in the age group of 5-15 and characterized by worry. Children suffering from anxiety disorder fear and worry from the events about to take place in the future course. They also get panic about conversation, health, performance, activities in school and friendship. This anxiety and worry obstruct their sleep and intrudes in daily life routine. The treatment of anxiety phobia focuses on positive thoughts.

Obsessive compulsive disorder

This kind of disorder is fast developing which are characterized by excessive obsessions and compulsions. Obsession to things which is a basic instinct in a child that he doesn’t invite but could not cope with it and compulsion is something correlated with obsession which a child has to perform. Such disorder affects a child physically and mentally interfering their lifestyle and sleep.

In order to reduce the obsession and compulsion of a child, the treatment focuses on facing fear and behaviour modification.

Separation anxiety disorder

SAD is extremely prevalent in small kids who ardently opposed to separate from their parent or attachment figure. This problem is often found in the kids due to their fear that something unpleasing would happen to their parent if they separate. It usually makes a child stubborn which also brings physical disorders like stomach pain, headaches and sleeping disorders etc.

These were some of the most common psychological disorders diagnosed in children and can only be treated with sheer perseverance and patience by psychologist. To understand child psychology physician has to have insight through which he must deeply read child’s mind in order to treat.
