Waxing or sugaring is a technique that uses a thick paste of sugar which can be avail from market to get clean and hairless body. Waxing is considered as one of the most reliable and inexpensive technique to remove unwanted hairs of body. Although it is painful on some sensitive areas such as arms, arm pits, stomach, back and pubic but nothing is better than sugaring.

Waxing involves many do’s and don’t while you rip off the hairs and the pain is endless if the hairs are ripped off in wrong direction. Waxing is mainly done playing around the right directions therefore this task has to be done in expert guidance. Waxing for the first time hurts the most but the pain decreases each time there after.

While removing hairs on the body make sure you are doing under the guidance of some expert or at some known salon. However pain can’t be reduced yet some measures can be taken so as to adhere to perfect waxing. Read out some of the dos and don’t to prevent excess pain while removing hair:

  • Pain while waxing is obvious but to avoid excess pain either prefers cold wax or just take aspirin or ibuprofen 30 minutes prior to waxing. This would numb the body to some extent and is helpful if you have to get waxed your sensitive parts like upper lip, chin, under arms, back and pubic area.
  • Always seek professional guidance while sugaring to rip out unwanted hair from body. An expert would probably know the amount of wax which has to be applied onto the part and also at what temperature wax has to be heated. He/she would also know the right thickness of wax, holding skin taut and in which direction strip has to pull.
  • To bear less pain while waxing, take body steam or steam particular body part just prior to waxing, so that the pores get open up allowing the hair follicles to easily come up.
  • Never apply thick layer of sugar on the skin as it not support the paper strip during ripping out hair. Also melt wax just prior to applying on body and do not melt at much temperature that might bruise your skin.
  • You can also use special body scrubs which can be used before waxing in order to provide easy exit of the hairs. Face can be exfoliated to remove the dead cells while body texture is different and needs scrub to remove dead cells around the hair follicles. This would surely doesn’t give you pain while waxing.
  • Using ice or astringent would worsen the body rash after waxing, so avoid rubbing astringent or ice. Ice and astringent usually tightens the pores thereby making the hair exit all the more difficult.
  • Do not nervous as tension could lead to skin bruises and rashes. Just relax and take deep breathe by closing eyes and makes sure the skin is taut while waxing. This way a person can better cope up with the pain.
  • Never try to get your body waxed unless you know the proper technique of doing it. Do not wax the areas where you won’t be able to, such as nose, ears, eyelashes, and nipples. Wrong technique can give excess pain with pimples, bumps and rashes on sensitive parts.
