Lightening facial hair
Bleaching is the easiest method known to get the facial hairs lightens but bleach doesn’t take away hair it just changes the colour from golden to transparent. The effect of bleach last for three to four weeks or sometimes extends to 6 weeks depending on the skin type and growth of hair.
Bleach is not a natural component but an alternative for hair removal and many women are opting for bleach just to get refrain from pain. Bleach is chemical compound usually consists of cream and activator (hydrogen peroxide) and it works best on facial hairs that is why it is getting popular among most women.
How bleach works

Bleach is prepared before applying it over the face and there are some precautions which have to be taken after getting done with this. A pinch of activator is mixed with some cream and if the facial hair is dense and black activator is added in accordance. The more the activator the more it lightens the facial hair.
After the preparation dab on the cream onto the face but avoid areas like eyebrows, eyes and lips. Bleach has to be left for 10-15 minutes so that the chemical present in the cream works in changing colour of hairs. After that it has to be removed with some spatula followed by face wash with cold water. But never use soap or other face wash for 5-6 hours after bleaching.
Bleaching doesn’t give pain unlike waxing or threading although some tingling sensation happens on skin which is considered good and important. This method can be start right away at home if you are acquainted with the process and most probably it is cheaper than other hair removal alternatives.
Pros and con
Though bleaching is cheap and useful for lighting hairs but it has shown more defects afterwards than advantages overall.
- One of the advantage of bleaching is that it comes handy and can be carried anywhere from easy bleaching facial hair.
- Other advantage of bleaching is time as it saves lot of time and in minimum time you can get blonde facial hairs without pain.
- While there are few disadvantages of bleach as it needs to be tested on body before applying on body. If the tested part irritates or could get allergic giving burning sensations then it should be avoided.
- Even if you don’t see redness on the skin or irritation, be careful while using on skin because facial skin is delicate.
- Bleaching is not suitable for all skin types and using on acne or burned skin would certainly worsen the condition.
- The results of bleach are not long lasting as it lasts just for few weeks.
- It doesn’t give hairless body with smooth skin as in waxing and can only be used on few areas of body.
- Bleaching require lot of precautions afterwards for instance avoiding direct sunlight, avoiding use of soap etc.
Bleaching is though not harmful to use as it is one of the popular and cheap method of enhancing beauty to lighten facial hair. Yet some precautionary steps have to be taken before you apply on the face or other parts of body.
