Hair growth and composition become weak and keep on changing with the number of factors such as age, menopause and disease. Age is the natural factor due to which hair tends to become finer, drier, less elastic and meager. These factors reduce hair growth, and thereby increasing the chances of thinning hair. Good hair is the result of good diet, normal hormones and various other body factors. If the thinness of hair is not control in the time it can cause baldness.

  • Thinness of hair if made you on toes in over a short period, asking a doctor for blood test is ideal. Blood test will diagnose anemia and underactive thyroid glands. Underactive thyroid glands may make you feel tired, you may easily put weight and prone to constipation.
  • Certain kind of diseases for instance diabetes, thyroid disease or anemia may led to losing circular patches of hair which is called alopaecia areata. Mild cases can be treated with medication or they settle on their own. While in severe cases strong medicines are recommended and tablets, steroids creams or injections are given into the scalp.
  • Thin hair must be protected from excessive hair wash, any kind of colouring, bleaching, perming and rebonding hair. While strong shampoos and frequent hair wash also aggravate hair loss in extreme conditions.
  • Keep a close contact consistently with hair oil as you can use olive oil, coconut oil or warm mustard oil. Light massage with oil strengthens the hair strands and provides fullness to the hair.
  • Henna and paste of amla and shikakai is thought to be good for shiny hair also promote growth of hair. Henna, amla and shikakai is natural colouring material which doesn’t harm hair in any way.
