Lips are the sensitive and most fragile part of your face that needs to be kept soft and pinkish no matter what occasion it is or whether you are going anywhere or not. Lip care is necessary to make them the focus point when one look at your face. Usually your lips draw attention of people giving invigorating look to face; therefore they must be cared properly to make it healthy and soft.

This sensitive and fragile part of face needs constant and regular care so as to avoid chapped lips. Many people including men and women sometimes face problems with cracked and chapped lips that make them feel shy in withstanding social occasion. Dry lips can change your face appearance by making it dull and unappealing. So here read some attractive lip care measures to be taken in order to avoid all chapping and cracking:
  • Exfoliate your lips using a clean spare toothbrush. Make it dry and rub some petroleum jelly onto the bristles and gently brush your lips for few seconds to smoothen them.
  • Condition your lips by slathering lip balm hailing in market. Many brands have come with different herbal lip balm and gels in various flavours from strawberry to orange. So use them and flaunt the soft and pink lips on your face.
  • Never stick to single shade or variant of lipstick, keep changing lipsticks from time to time. Matte lip shade has more pigment and fewer moisturizing ingredients while glossy lipsticks help retain moisture. So make sure that you interchange your lip shades to keep your lips healthy and soft.
  • Using lipsticks that contains vitamin E and retinols help reducing aging lines appearing on the edge of the mouth. Vitamin E and retinol rich products act as anti-aging, so choose the best lip balm and lipstick to keep your lips healthy.
  • Defend your lips against scorching heat and chapping, since our lips have little melanin which doesn’t protect them against sunrays. Therefore applying SPF 8-15 lip balm before lipstick would help maintaining the enough melanin in lips. You can also re-apply the SPF during the day time while choose lipsticks with SPF is another good option.
  • The other thing to recommend is no biting of lips, people you must avoid biting your lips for good. There are people who are constantly in habit of chewing their sensitive part of face just out of nervousness but guys this habit can tear the thin layer of lips making it prone to infection

  • Chuck smoking for making your lips healthy and reducing fine lines around the mouth as smoking speed up the formation of aging vertical lines around the mouth.
  • Avoid licking your lips because saliva makes them dry and rough. Saliva easily get evaporate from lips and pulls away moisture in the process making it prone to chapping.
